A lITTLE BACK STORY...
Like many 2022 couples, this love story started on Hinge... One swiping in Atlanta, and the other swiping in Tybee Island.
Jamal lived in Augusta, GA and Maggie in Columbia, SC; so he drove up to Columbia to take Maggie on their first date at Cantina 76. And the rest is history!
Fast forward to October 18, 2023 when Jamal reached out to me after receiving my information from one of Maggie's best friends, Karson. He explained that he was planning on proposing in Charleston, and asked if I was available and interested... As we all know, Surprise Proposals are my favorite, so of course, I said yes. We immediately started planning their special day. In the planning process, we had to switch it up and he decided on Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, SC. After all, it was Maggie's favorite place... Between growing up attending games with her parents to being a Gamecocks cheerleader throughout college, and finally sharing Saturdays with Jamal at the stadium; it only made sense!
The scavenger Hunt...
Jamal set up a surprise scavenger hunt for Maggie the morning/day of the proposal. Starting with a nail appointment, where Karson picked her up. Next, she was sent to another girl friend's house to get ready and one by one more friends started to show up. Next clue led her to where she and Jamal shared their first date, Cantina 76. The final clue led her to Williams-Brice Stadium, where her friends blindfolded her and walked her onto the field.
tHE pROPOSAL...
Once Maggie walked onto the field, and Jamal asked her to marry him, their friends and family started to cheer! They had all made the trip from near and far to surprise Maggie and celebrate the newly engaged couple.
